NC LIVE Annual Conference Session- Customizing your Summon Instance - Shared screen with speaker view
where are you getting to a preview results page
I saw the preview console.
Nice beard, Jake! :)
Haha, indeed! I'm sporting one as well. I look forward to comparing beards in person, sir!
Has anyone seen many advantages in displaying the almetrics? I did that this past year. Mainly students ask what it means, but seem interested when I explain that it signifies the amount of article shares
Do we know if we can select which databases will display or not?
Yeah, I was wondering that very thing, whether or not it was distracting vs. being useful
We really like that feature
We have a link to our My Account.
We have added our hours into that area
We had faculty ask about citation tracking--we can't afford citation indexes.
We decided to use it to display our journal finder on the custom panel. So a user can look up a journal title and see the results on the right hand side
What about a custom panel for reporting access issues?
We have a custom panel to promote our library mobile app, and one to link to our consortium's catalog search.
where do you access the Summon A-Z list? I primarily use the Springshare one, but would love to compare the Summon one
if the content is not available, does it still give citation information so that they may request it via ILL
oh, okay. so it's mainly the journals, but it will include all the databases down at the bottom?
Thanks for going through that process!
ah, great. thanks!
when it is searching beyond the college, how is it pulling those guides?
are they indexed?
do we request this, or it is already there
yes yes yes
I'd love to see that too!
very informative and thanks for the information
Thank you so much for your informative presentation!
Just want to say the Ex-Libris help portal is always immensely helpful and is quick to respond. It does not go unnoticed. Thanks!
I have a question about the Full Text facet - I see that you don't show it, so do you have it set to limit to full text automatically in the background?
Thank you all!
Thank you all! Jake, talk to you again soon!
Thank y'all so much!
Thanks, very interesting!
