Does spraying for mosquitoes affect other bugs/insects?
Adam Bensley
38:07
Does it kill them or repell them?

39:37
On mosquito spraying I just told the guy who was spraying I had honey bee colonies I didn’t mind going back to prison. That got the conversation started and we amicably came to an agreement not to spray near my hives and to spray in late afternoon.

The guy spraying was on my neighbor’s property.

I have long cringed at the way developers take down everything these days and build and (try to) plant in the subsoil. Clay makes terracotta pots. How can we encourage developers to keep topsoil in place and only dig where the foundation is to be placed? Or to develop on smaller area of large parcel and keep more natural buffers on the parcel?
Brittany

I collect water for my plants and garden. But I have multiple screens over the barrels. In my other containers, I use dunks and solar powered aerators until the water is gone.

Speaking of pests! Do you have ideas for "squirrel management"? They love to dig up my bulbs, mess with other plants/flowers in the garden all. the. time.

We get terrible chigger bites whenever we go into our yard in the summer. They itch for 2 weeks! What do you recommend for managing chiggers? We keep our yard mowed very short but also have natural area and gardens

Removing chiggers from the ecosystem was one reason the native Americans burned the woods. Not easy to prescribed burn your yard. WE spray our boots and pant legs with Deet, but usually only have this problem when going into the woods.
