Topic
Supplier Scouting
Description
• Are you a manufacturer struggling to source key parts or components to meet your production needs?
• Do you have excess manufacturing capacity in your facility that you’d like to use?
When we talk about economic repercussions from the pandemic, supply chain challenges are one of the first challenges mentioned. In fact, one of the lasting legacies of the pandemic might be that everyone now understands what a supply chain is and what happens when it breaks. Economists and manufacturing experts, unfortunately, predict that supply chain disruption will be with us well into 2023. The good news is that there are programs in place to help with supply chain challenges.
Join NC State University Industry Expansion Solutions (IES) on January 18, 2023 for a webinar that will explore and demonstrate programs and tools provided by the national Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), the North Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NCMEP) and NC State University Industry Expansion Solutions (IES)to help manufacturers source the parts or components they need domestically. The program, Supplier Scouting, is a national program that uses a network approach to provide as much exposure as possible to source the item domestically. As well, the webinar will demonstrate the Manufactured in North Carolina online supply chain database, a searchable tool that allows you to search North Carolina manufacturers on criteria such as capabilities, materials and production volume.
